A shimmering glimmer occurs. It appears almost not quite there, a mirage perhaps?
But then the lines continue to merge and grow until it seems as if the very air is split like a curtain being blown by an open window and from the nothingness steps someone.
The stately figure appears at first appears as he did years ago, aquiline features and ears distinctive of that race commonly known as "elves." However, the eyes reveal an ancientness as well as a certain cruelty that those Loremasters of old (if they are not all passed now) would recognize as Fey.
The Archmagus looks around, slightly shocked, and states in his most dignified voice "My Gods... it's still here!"
Then, suddenly sounds occur beyond the Veil still shimmering behind him. Noises that are not quite distinguishable but appear to be language follow a sudden sharp noice that sounds almost like... "Durgil....."
The Archmagus cocks his head back and listens, sighs, and replies "Yes, dear."
He looks back once more over the landscape he had traveled over so much in the distant paths and thinks of the adventures and friends he had had and made here. He thinks again of the Companions, and of warriors, mages and priests. Of Dragonlords & crazy folk, of dark elves and gnomes. A slight smile cracks his lips at that memories before he turns once again and walks back through the Veil leaving only a whisper behind.
"We did have fun, old friends...we did have fun."

Soulforge
OOC: I cannot believe Soul Forge in any capacity is still around. I am currently stuck at work, bored and had the random thought to google "Soul Forge." UNBELIEVABLE! I hope you all are doing well. I started on WoW last year during a large stretch of boredom and currently play both Alliance & Horde characters on Argent Dawn (hough very intermittently....SF1 was the heyday of my online gaming... If any are on WoW look for Jeckl or Daanen (Alliance) or Grgen (Horde).
I have to say it is quite an amazing accomplishment for a group of people, with other lives & jobs, to have developed and nurtured a computer game into a "family" for so many years. Who knew that old Sun Tzu's server would have lived on for so long?
My best to you all.
